WHO wants to know?

It's been asked before, why exactly couldn't the Carter Avenue pipeline go on the opposite side of I-30?

If the option was seriously being considered, what do those representing the residents of Fort Worth have to say about the mess the drillers have made of Gateway Park while they take water from the Trinity river on property owned by the Tarrant Regional Water District that is earmarked for the Trinity River Vision and happens to be making millions because its covered in gas wells owned by Chesapeake?

Ask them.

This land is your land; this land is my land....nevermind! Maybe this land's not our land after all; defeinitely not the rich benefits that come with the land, anyway. :0(

Sadly, that picture pretty much sums up everything that you have brought up---no sign of the people/citizens anywhere (not even protest signs) while the "powers" do as they wish with the people's properties, resources, and environment. Guess the "citizens of the shale" did get the message to "get behind the shale" (i.e. the "powers"--private and public) OR risk being run over and crushed. The communists and other tyrants could have improved their image if they had used this bloodless method of controlling the masses. Stalin, Hitler, Saddam, and all could have gotten their way and not be seen as greedy butchers and heartless psychopaths. But to the tyrants' credit, our "powers" have made good use of propaganda and population control techniques borrowed from them. These techniques combined with million$$$ of taxpayer dollars given to various individuals and groups produced the same desired result--a few people controlling the thoughts and actions of millions. Saddam would be envious!
