Keeping up with the developments of Carter Avenue and DISH, TX we missed Mr. Woodard's latest gem in the Fort Worth Business Press.
Thanks to one of our readers for pointing it out!
Eminent domain
In the 18th century a biographer named James Granger illustrated his Biographical History of England by inserting engravings or photographs collected from other books. He would mutilate and cannibalize other books to obtain material for his book. From his modus operandi comes the word “grangerize.”
If an eminent domain-mandated two-bit dime-sized billion dollar boondoggle Town Lake ever covers up the post card natural beauty of the picturesque Clear Fork-West Fork confluence, and children of the future ask their teacher, “Where is the confluence?,” it seems to me the proper tutorial reply would have to be: “It was grangerized.”

That deserves an "Amen, Brother!" and lots of questions BY "the people" directed at the government OF "the people". If not, other words used to describe us the citizens and taxpayers might be "inattentive" and "irresponsible"-- for allowing a handfull of people free reign to change the future and character of our community.
People and neighborhoods across Tarrant County should pay carefull attention to the saga of the Carter Ave. residents in order to keep from getting "carterized"--preyed upon by greedy giant industry while betrayed by corrupt leaders and city government who are in bed with their predator Chesapeake.
The fact is that our community is BEING "GRANGERIZED" AND "CARTERIZED" right now. People need to RECOGNIZE this disturbing fact and ORGANIZE as a free democratic society could/should and take actions to NEUTRALIZE/RECTIFY these unacceptible actions. To do otherwise would make us tacit accomplices in the grangerization and carterization (moncriefize just doesn't have that ring to it eventhough it applies) of our community, its people, and future.
