We live near Carter Ave. and saw many TV news vans around but they left before 6pm when the neighbors got off work and showed up for the block party. We were surprised to read and see reports that only about a dozen people showed up. Well, that might be true at 5:30pm but in fact close to fifty people of all ages amd races showed up and had a nice time--from our vantage point, any way. The media should be more accurate in their reporting. Thank goodness, we have blogs like yours where people can tell the whole story and truth. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Have you been appalled by what you see on the "news" happening in the communities? Ever been disturbed by the lack of coverage or the lack of facts shared by the media? Who knows more about what is going on in your community? A reporter with a deadline or informed citizens? Have you ever attended a city meeting? Are you concerned with your current leadership? Ever written a Letter to the Editor that was edited beyond recognition? Or not printed at all? Let us know what's going on in your cities, help to educate your neighbors. The things taking place now are regional and affect all of us. Exercise your right to be informed!
