How much taxpayer dollars did the city of FW spend on this case, esp. a two-day trial?
If Mimi was determined by these professionals and officers to be such a threat to public health and safety, why would they decide to release her? My theory, these arrogant bureaucrats are used to bullying the poor citizens and thought they were doing the same here. I bet they were shocked to see Steve fight back---with a competent lawyer representing his interests no less. For every case like this, there are probably dozens if not hundreds of other instances of overreaching and the mixture of power with arrogance.
Have you been appalled by what you see on the "news" happening in the communities? Ever been disturbed by the lack of coverage or the lack of facts shared by the media? Who knows more about what is going on in your community? A reporter with a deadline or informed citizens? Have you ever attended a city meeting? Are you concerned with your current leadership? Ever written a Letter to the Editor that was edited beyond recognition? Or not printed at all? Let us know what's going on in your cities, help to educate your neighbors. The things taking place now are regional and affect all of us. Exercise your right to be informed!
