The Wave of the Future

Durango has been on a Tarrant County Transportation boondoggle roll. 

WHO pays for all of this?  YOU do.  All of YOU.  The better question is, WHY?

Fort Worth spent $6.4 million on their fleet of eight 80 passenger futuristic buses. This $6.4 million came from people all over America, courtesy of the Federal Recovery Act.

I assume this is part of what is known as The Stimulus.

The buses were initially bought to provide transport to the Super Bowl.

Has there been any sort of investigation by anyone into how much money was wasted by Fort Worth in that particular Boondoggle? Some of the disaster was weather related, courtesy of ice storms and snow. But some of it was hubris related.

Very informative, very friendly folks!  Even the "plants" were friendly. 

We love it when a group of citizens take the initiative to right the wrongs.  THE PEOPLE are listening.

Paradise Center Scandal

Durango does it again.  While the "news" doesn't make mention the plight of the Paradise Center, THE PEOPLE do.  And WHO to?  Durango, that's who.

Check out the new blog he started that will help you to follow this developing story that some news producer (in with MHMR?) doesn't think you need to see.

Hats off to Durango for again giving THE PEOPLE a voice.

Check in with Durango to find out WHY the Fort Worth Star-Telegram didn't report much on the Earthquake and Tsnumai in Japan or the MHMR Paradise Center scandal.

Then, think about all the other "news" you are missing in Tarrant County.  And ask WHY?

Is there a reporter in the house?

Aside from Durango?

We saw one short, hard to understand blip on the local news recently, other than that nothing about the Paradise Center, which provides services for mentally ill patients, being shut down in a questionable manner.

WHY is that?

We could say it better, so we'll let Durango do all the talking about the Trinity River Vision Billion Dollar Boondoggle.

We do have a question, does the flyer mention flooding?  Anywhere??  And someone please explain how the wakeboard park (we hear someone has been taking lessons) will keep us from flooding?

A couple of days ago, Durango posted an article about a Fort Worth neighborhood being one of the Most Dangerous in America.

This neighborhood is in Councilwoman Kathleen Hicks district.  Kathleen has responded promptly to this.  You can read it all on Durango.

We bet those on Carter Avenue wish she would have responded this quickly and with as much conviction.

The Trinity River Vision and its "Authority" claim the reason for the Vision is flood control. 

We can't find anyone "in the know" that can answer the question, what flooding problems will be corrected with this project?

We can however, find many examples of how the Trinity River Vision Authority plans to charge you in addition to the BILLION dollars you are already paying for the Trinity River Vision.
