The city and the media have led us all to believe the War on Carter Avenue has been won by the people and the pipeline route will now go on the other side of I30.
If that were the case, WHY is Chesapeake still taking the one Carter hold out to court Friday morning? Even though the lone hold out asked for legal representation (which we supply to murderers, etc. but not to those having their property stolen) and for a continuance. All requests were denied.
Contact your leaders, come to the courthouse, show your support.
Remember, YOU could be next.
THIS FRIDAY - 12/18/09 8:30 a.m.
County Court at Law #3
100 E Weatherford Fort Worth, TX

According to the Star Telegram, this man's case was scheduled to be tossed out at end of October. That's over six weeks ago. Is this revelation why the Startlegram has not said another word about it since? And why Chesapeake and the City people have been non-committal about the se-called alternative route? Joel Burns, who represents District 9, sent out letters to constituents and issued a press release when he made his decision/commitment in mid-November NOT to support the plan by FWISD and City Parks Dpt. to build an elementary school-community center right next to several gas wells in Rosemont. Why won't the council rep. for Carter Ave. do the same thing? She and CHK shouldn't continue playing games with people's emotions and lives. More light, and less shade-y.
All good questions, we suggest calling the Mayor, Kathleen Hicks, or the Star-Telegram and asking.
