Either we’re getting better at this...
All of our election picks won their race, except for Glen Bucy. He’s in a runoff and will win in July. Help him out. It’s in YOUR best interest.
Ask WHO is interested in his opponent winning. His opponent received approximately $80,000 from his family, for a constable race. Really? Is that WHO YOU want in office?
Congratulations to Lon Burnam, Jonathan Strickland, Giovonni Capriglione, Matt Krause, David Woodruff and Glen Bucy.

Constable Candidate
WTH could Bud Kennedy have against an all American guy like Glen Bucy??
Seems at a recent forum, one of Glen's opponent's stood and made the claim that he was endorsed by Congresswoman, Kay Granger. Bucy went on to explain why he did not want such an endorsement. Once again, on Facebook, Bud Kennedy weighed in on Bucy - about the congresswoman being "criticized--by a constable candidate?"
WHO else is supposed to call them out? The "news"??
Since when can constituents not comment on their elected officials and their spending? If we left that to the "news" paper, no one ever would.
Here's what Glen had to say earlier in the week about the endorsements.
And pork is pork, no matter how they serve it in Fort Worth.
While at the Southwest Republican Club, one of my opponents stated that he was the only... candidate in the room that was unequivocally endorsed by Congresswoman Kay Granger,(the most powerful endorsement you could possibly have in Tarrant county according to my opponent.) to which I responded in my final two minute closing statement "The only reason I do not have Kay Grangers endorsement, is because I did not seek it out. I have spoken publicly in the past about several issues that I had with Congresswoman Granger, most importantly, that she is a Pro-Choice Republican, and I am a Pro-Life."
While I agree that Kay Granger has done some good things for Fort Worth, I cannot condone her pro-choice stance on abortion. On matters of fiscal responsibility, Granger fails the test again being one of the largest pork barrel spenders in congress. With projects like the Trinity River Vision and its $909 million dollar price tag, Kay doesn't do our party any favors when we talk about cutting back in Washington spending. As Republicans, we need to be taking the lead in matters of fiscal responsibility/accountability and that is exactly what I plan to do in Constable's office.

"Egomaniacs running amok"
While it's a quote a local columnist used to describe our Constables, (which he refers to as "tin-horn sheriffs") we say if the shoe fits...
Ego continues throughout the 60+ comment string on Facebook, as well as insults.
Maybe YOU should check out some of the local boys running for Constable. Several of them have served in one way or another and have spent much of their time protecting THE PEOPLE. What is it that columnist do for THE PEOPLE?
WHO were THEY talking about today?
Glen Bucy.

We Won't Pipe Down: Carter Avenue Rescue Operation Rally Thursday March 4 Downtown Fort Worth
The Carter Avenue Rescue Operation will be holding a rally on the Courthouse steps Thursday, March 4th at 7:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend. This rally will be held prior to Steve Doeung's court appearance in his battle with Chesapeake Energy. Steve Doeung is attempting to stop Chesapeake Energy from using eminent domain to take his home in order to put a pipeline beneath the homes along Carter Avenue in Fort Worth.
Steve Doeung does not have legal counsel. He is a Lone Ranger battling Chesapeake Energy. The last time Steve Doeung was in court he was virtually alone against Chesapeake Energy.
This time we do not want Steve Doeung to be alone. We want Steve to feel the support of his fellow Texans, with a solid, loud expression of the American Spirit.
The Court hearing begins at 8:30. Please come witness this historic moment in Fort Worth and Texas and show your support for Steve Doeung and the residents of Carter Avenue.
All North Texans should be concerned with the process and outcome of this hearing. A recent Fort Worth Business Press article named Tarrant County, the eminent domain capital of Texas, which by default likely makes Tarrant County the eminent domain capital of America.
YOUR neighborhood could be next.
Speakers at the event include:
Louis McBee - Vietnam Veteran, Business Owner, Community Leader, Former Mayoral Candidate and Treasurer of NCTCA
Glen Bucy - Afghanistan Veteran, Former City Council Candidate, and Local Community Activist
Billy Mitchell - Rancher, Eminent domain abuse victim, Community Activist
And special guest - DISH, TX Mayor, Calvin Tillman - Mayor Tillman has been leading the way with his determination and resolve to ensure the safety of resident's rights concerning gas drilling, not only in DISH, but the entire state of Texas. He was recently invited to speak to citizens in New York about their concerns with gas drilling issues.
CARTER AVENUE RESCUE OPERATION begins at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 100 W. Weatherford in Fort Worth. That is the Old Historic Courthouse at the north end of downtown, across the street from Heritage Park. Just follow the signs, downtown, to Sundance Square, where you will find plenty of parking lots.
Refreshments will be provided. Please plan on attending and bring your family and friends!

We went to the event not expecting too much or stay too long, but ended up staying the whole time because it was so well organized, efficient, informative, and inspirational. Whoever managed to keep all those lawyers, judges, and politicians within their alotted time for speech making should help run some form of our government. Seriously, lawyers and politicians in the heat of campaigning making their points in under TWO MINUTES is incredible--if we didn't actually witness it ourselves. This was Americanism at its peak, with families, flags,AND ESP. IMMIGRANTS AND/OR VETERANS WHO HAD PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE TO MAKE SURE WE CAN HAVE OUR FREEDOM AND RIGHTS (ERODING!!). Glen Bucy's speech brought tears to our eyes--tears of pride (for his service and vision), anger (for the waste and corruption by our elected officials and government/s), and shame (for not being more involved and vigilant which allowed the corruption and waste to occur--robbing us of our liberty and our children's future). Despite its being overwhelmingly Republican candidates, the message was not left or right---just about what's right for all Americans.
