WHERE

exactly is Carter Avenue?

According to the Yahoo Map service, it's directly across I-30 from Gateway Park

(including "Disposal Rd" what a fitting name).

WHO has control of the park property?

The Tarrant Regional Water District.
It's good to have connections.

Wait a minute there--are you saying that there may be some connections between this long drawn out Carter Ave. pipeline thing and the ever costly TRV? What's going on here? Are we getting a little peek at some of the behind the door dealings here? I don't know but the more I see and think the more I'm concerned about whose city and government it is. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered, but it seems that we need more people asking these questions that eventually affewct and cost all of us. Sweet niblets!!

Whatever happened to that group CREDO that was formed to push for a moratorium and seems made up of local leaders and lawyers willing to file federal lawsuits? Why isn't this group--or any of their lawyer members stepping up and help these poor people on Cartewr Ave.? Whatya waiting for--an disaster before taking action?

I believe "Disposal Rd." refers to the waste disposal plant from years past, which can still be seen today in the form of large dirt covered domes or humps sticking out of the ground--unless they had "dressed" it up, like they will with all the gas wells and pipelines littering Gateway Park. When visiting the park, look for all the pipeline alley markers---and be carefull where you smoke or bar-b-q. But I'm sure the city has signs informing people/visitors of these facts already. My family hasn't been there lately; too much truck traffic and temporary roads cutting into parts of the park where wells are being drilled. In fact two new ones are being drilled right now and the rigs can be seen from I-30 and the road.
